    Hi Rabbi,

I’m new to your podcast and I heard something so interesting today. Can you help me understand Deuteronomy 28:13, when you said the head not the tail. Head=intellect and tail=emotions. I would like to study this. Not sure where to begin.

    Thank you.

The point was that one of the Rabbis mades a drusha on the verse saying that we should be blessed that our intellect rules over our emotions. The Rambam calls character traits opinions (“middos” “dayos”). In order to change ourselves and truly serve God our intellects must be developed.
